Plug in wing conversion?

Can a one piece wing be converted to a plug in wing realisticly? Can the tube be added like a plug in stab or how?
thanks, Tom

Sure, if it's thick enough.
The optimum place for the joiner is between the spars.
Optimum joiner is an aluminum tube.
A maple stick work work also.
What are the dimensions of the wing, and its construction? And airplane weight?

It's a foam wing for a 60 size Desire. The wing is thick enough, I just have never tried it before. This plane would be a lot easier to build and get things on the cg if I could make it plug in instead of one piece.

Tom, the most awesome aspect of this hobby is that nothing is set in stone. Anything can be altered to an extent. If you haven't glued the wing halfs then you can certainly make the ship with plug-ins. Do a search on "plug-in wings" here and you should find what you're looking for. If memory serves me right, PTX VECTOR had a rather informative thread on his own design consisting of plug-in wings and stab. Hope I've helped some. Take care and hope you have a great weekend.

In Christ,
