WHAT TO DO? !
I have need for a PLYWOOD that is LONGER than anything locally available.
I need both the ROOT rib & the #3 rib in my plans to be made of ply. The 3rd rib is the anchor for the graphite rods which make up the ability to take the wings on and off. If I MAKE plywood (of sorts) it'll all be balsa so it will have to be alternating cross grains Q) Will they be a viable product? In fact< I think it best to laminate the layers with epoxy marwen1 |

How long are these ribs? I have a source up to 60"

GREAT! U R there! & i am here.
building goes on as we type Other than the fact that U R in the USA, I have ABSOLUTELY nothing againg the US. Heck, I lived in DETROIT for 38 yeras. USAF for over 20 years. I have come to find =that if I cannont get it here in CANADA, I absolutely refuse to pay outrageous prices for shipping by the carriers when they disguise it by calling it a BROKERAGE FEE. uh! uh! Noit this ol' boy I have come to finf that this country just doesn't have the little bitty things that I could buy almost anywhere in the US CANADA is incredibly CONSERVATIVE in almost everything If a LHS doesn't have it, then I gotta make do with what I can produce on my own Please, DO NOT BE OFFENDED! Right about now at this point in my retiring years, I just want to make my builds as easily as possible. So much so, that I even buy my epoxy (part A & B) in 5 gal. cans. Break it down, rebottle it and sell it to my fellow Canadians at WAY UNDER the LHS prices. Being an entreprenuer might have a little to do with it too, though marwen1 |

RE: WHAT TO DO? !
I've been known to laminate 1/16" and 3/32" ply. Overlap the bulk of the part then add the filler on both sides of the ends. Compress it to a straight flat surface and it will come out good enough to use. Use weights and clamps to keep the structure true while curing and it will be true when finished.

If anything --- I want the ROOT to not be waving all over the place. The root was coming in at 26inches. Marshall |
