Looking for basic 2D cad program
I used to run cad for a living but that was 16+ years ago. A lot of changes have occured since in the world of cad. I would like to find a basic, easy to use 2D program. I have TurboCad 12 on my computer and I am learning it a piece at a time but it is beyond basic (for me anyway) and I need to do some 2D drawing asap. Any suggestions?

RE: Looking for basic 2D cad program
You've already got what you need. Just trigger the 2D/3D switch so that it's locked to 2D.
From there take some time to learn how to set up the tool bars and tool items to suit yourself. I've done that with my own TurboCAD and I'm more than happy using it for 2D this way. |
RE: Looking for basic 2D cad program
All cad programs do have a learning curve. non of them are open the box ready. I learned autocad in a very short time, 6 months for all the main and basic features. turbo cad is also a real good program, I could never figure it out though. if you got the hang of turbo cad then keep with that one, you will begin to pick it up pretty fast. you could also find a turbo cad site online and learn more there also. keep it up!!

If you can find a copy of Ashlar Drawingboard, it's fantastic.
