Guys,
I have the opportunity to buy a second hand GreatPlanes Electrifly Seawind or the PBY-Catalina.
Both are in excellent condition. Which one will you suggest?
I am looking for a fast building, easy to fly seaplane, to take with me during my summer holidays!
Best,
Kostas

I watched two different Seawinds snap at mid-fuselage between the wing and tail empennage at a single float fly. A friend has the GP Catalina and I have the GP Widgeon. Go with the PBY. I like the Widgeon but it is a handful.

I have the seawind, not an easy beast to land without dunking, tends to skip and nose in. Fast and stable in the air. Don't have the PBY, but having seen both, the PBY looks like a much more expensive plane. The seawind being cheap foam, not even EPP. I would trade my seawind for a GP PBY in a heartbeat.
