Default Northrop N3PB

So, it is time to start to do something when it comes to this plane. I've got a few threeviews of the original but is anyone aware of any drawings for a model? I've trawled the net but nothing shows up. I've seen one built once but that was a very simplified model. I'm thinking along the lines of around 1600-1700mm wingspan and electric motor,

Hi Jens, have you found anything for this plane yet?

I also found some threeviews online, one with a couple of fuselage cross sections. And I have the 1/72nd plastic model kit of the plane, from Special Hobby. No real construction plans.

But I do have a video clip from the 1980s here in Norway of a rather nice model of this plane. I don't know any details about the model. Could ask around a bit and see if anyone remembers anything, but this was 35 years ago.

I'm not allowed to post links yet. Hopefully I can be forgiven for mentioning that the youtube video ID is: gpZuOSO1B-c

I was able to get some more info about the plane in the video. It was actually a "Pilot" kit, presumably by the OK Model Co. LTD (Japan). According to an old "Norwegian Modellers" catalogue from 1993, "Mr. Takamatsu started the production of model aircraft in 1959".

The Northrop N3PB is not present in my 1993 catalogue though, maybe it was already out of production. According to my uncle it was a bit on the heavy side. Maybe someone still has the plans from the kit though?

Here is the video I mentioned earlier:

Sorry, there was a misunderstanding and the Pilot kit was another plane at this meetup. The Northrop in the video was scratch built by one of the attendees.

A quick update! Among the Gene Falada drawings on the AMA website, there is actually a N3PB drawing. I purchased it and it is now in my possession. It is rather big though so I intend to with this drawing as a base, draw a smaller one with my preferred wing profiles. I can also arrange for a set of ribs and formers to be laser cut.
