Regarding the Firelands Float Fly.....
We have a pretty big group from Michigan coming down to join in the flying in New London.
We outnumbered the locals last year. Maybe a few more people from Ohio will show up this year.
Everyone had a great time last year and we expect the same this year. See you there.

You are correct, I didn't think of that. I'll delete the group as it would be redundant.

Is there any way I can view this in reverse chronological order:Newest first? As it is, it opens on stuff that happened in 2004. Not the most useful information.

Some of the details:

This is one great event.... enjoyed by the entire family!

Rawls Point is truely a slice of heaven. This event has grown every year! From just a few float flyers years back to about 54 pilots last year and over 100 spectators. Truely a family event, bring the kids and spouse! Great place to lay back enjoy the views, a book, and see some great flying.

A $15 landing fee includes the pilots lunch - BBQ pork! (additional lunches may be purchased) and registration into a pilots only drawing. Each pilot will receive a free gift just for registering!
•Float Flying At It's Best
•Four sets of foam cored balsa covered floats will be given as pilots prizes
•Several lucky pilots will receive big discount coupons for Castle poducts
•Additional raffles prizes will be given away
•1500 feet (or more) of water front
•Unobstructed lake views
•A dock for fishing with a calm cove for electric RC boats (gas or nitro must be in the big water side)
•Electric runway if you don't have floats (fly over the lake and land on the grass, must be able to hand launch)
•Port-a-Potty (one for just the ladies)
•Chase Boat(s)
•Volleyball Court
•A portion of every registered pilot fee will be donated to Harvest Hope

Even if you don't own a float plane this is a don't miss event. The action is crazy, the views are awesome, and the food this year is really going to be good!

Since you would be in central SC we have added a TV for the South Carolina Kentucky game Wow.... flying on a lake, the views, real BBQ, and now football !
