I want a Schneider cup racer 60 size
Hello; I lost my Schneider cup racer(SCR) about 5 years ago, and I really miss it. I will build a new one but I can't find the plans. Is there anywhere I can find the plans to build a new one? Is there anyone out there that has a set that they can part with? I like scratch building and have had great success in the past. I will use a Saito 80.

RE: I want a Schneider cup racer 60 size
If I were you I would build the Stream Schneider 120 rather than the 60. It would take a slightly larger engine than the 80 that you have, but of the three models ( the Schneider Sport 60, 120 and 320) this is number one. I do have a set of plans for the 120 and would copy them for you if you like on a cost basis.
Let me know...
Unfortunately I do not have the Schneider 60 plans ( I have a Schneider 60 model)

Sorry to be so vague, but I know RCM had plans for the plane you are talking about. It was a while back and it was sport scale, but looked very nice and was supposed to fly great. Sorry I don't have any further info. Does RCM have a plans list?

RCM published the Schneider Stik, designed by Jim Feldmann, as well as Tom Stom's Schneider 320. Yes they have a plans list and I beleive that both plans are available. (I got the stik plans myself....) and have the only remaining original model!

RCM has the Schneider Sport plans available. This is for modifying a low wing (or shoulder wing fuse flipped over) stick type airplane. The plans show the mods for the nose, wing tips and tail section. This is a .40 - .50 size bird. 52" span, 4 channel. RCM number 1056.
They also have a Schneider Sport 320. I don't know much about the bird but the specs are 84" span, 30 - 62 cc engines 4 channel. The plan number is 1087.
Hope this helps.

Jim Pepino has plans for a 85/100" span Supermarine S6B that you may find interesting. My guess is that the 85/100" span means that you can build either size. Check out the site below. Sorry I didn't create a link. You'll have to type in the address or just search on Jim Pepino. I believe that Cornell Michaels will cut the kit for you.

Funny that this thread popped up. I helped Dan get his SS 320 in the air yesterday. Now he is going to put the floats back on.

Yeah, Grumpy gave me a call yesterday afternoon to tell me he had flown it AFTER he flew it.... some son-in-law.. I will have to have words with Patt!
I found the plans that built that aircraft, and mean to get them to Dan soon.
Dan's is about the only one left flying....

It flew really well. We had to put some new diagphrams in the carb after setting for all those years then the trusty Zenoah fired right up. I cant wait to see it on floats.
Is your club still working on the Maytown float fly?

I've got a set of Stream Schneider Sport 60 plans. I would be willing to make a copy.
Let me know. Has the company gone out of business? I would purchase another set of floats if they were available.

Allan,
I've still fly my fifteen year old Scheider Sport 60. Great flyer!
Do you know if the company is still making the kit/floats. I would buy a back-up set of floats if I could. Thanks for your time. Bruce

A real nice set of floats can be bought from Sea Commander. These can be had with or without the mounting hardware. I have a set on my Schneider Sport 60. They are designed specifically for the Schneider series of planes and handle great in the water without water rudders.

Your first inquiry said '60 size, but the second mentioned 120. Just so you understand, these plans are for the 60 size.

Hi Bruce W,
I would be interested in a copy of the Stream Schneider 60 plans myself. Let me know if it is do-able. I was thinking maybe I could take a Four Star 60 and bash it into a Stream like rendition. A set of plans would be handy for the small details. I have a F.S. 40 on floats that flies really well (See my gallery) and thought a bigger one that sort looks like a racer would be fun.

I still have a mint and complete Stream Inc Schneider Sport 60 kit laying in my extra bedroom. Lately, I've been thinking about selling it.
It is the deluxe kit with the plastic floats. Also have a NIB OS Max FS-91 that I was going to power it with. Then later on I bought a FS-95v to power it with since it has the same mounting bolt pattern as well as more power :-) all of this sits :-(

Hi Freeflight4ever,
I have yet to hear from Bruce W and so I was wondering if you would be willing to make a copy of your plans for me? Again A copy would be good to have as a reference to do my own version using a Four Star 60 as a starting point.
Thank you for your time.

Hi Jl1,
As it happens I have a Jim Pepino S6b model short kit already. I am looking to have something a smaller, simplified construction, and easy to transport. Thank you for the suggestion and I will keep it in mind.

A word of caution.
The Pepino plans are listed as 1;5 scale at 85" span and 1;4 at 100 ".
This is a very large error as the S6 B had a wingspan of exactly 30 feet or 360" So actually 1:5 is 72" and the 1:4 is 90". A BIG difference!!
This has caught out quite a few people!!!!
