RE: Seaplane pictures
Under the text box where you put type your reply, there is a line that says "click here to upload images and files". Click right on that. I noticed you have only 8 posts. I don't know what RCU policy is, but a lot of boards don't let people post pics or internet links until they have 10 posts. I'm sure the mods can comment on that. After you click on the upload images line you get a box where you can upload the files right from your computer. It works quite well.

RE: Seaplane pictures
Strykaas, sorry but I was sure that I already posted the pictures of the model flying on wheels and as a seaplane. In both configurations the model is great flyer.

Strykaas.
I posted the images but I do not know why they are so large. I posted the pictures before with no problem. In last couple times they came out so large. I did not changed any settings knowingly. I hope someone can help me.
Here I am trying to post the shortcut to U-Tube where I have the video with the Shearwater flying.

RE: Seaplane pictures
Here's the calmanation of 2.5 years of work. It hasn't maidened yet, I am saving up for a slimline exhaust for the Saito 125 I just got for it.
It's an Arado Ar-196A3 (named the Shark by the Kreigsmarine), I orderd the plans from VTH.de, I mistakenly ordered the 89" WS set so I had them reduced 13% so that it has a 72 3/4" WS. Before I installed the engine, fuel tank, throttle servo, intrument panel, pilot seat and pilot it weighed 12 lbs.
Hoping to maiden it before winter (groan!! is it coming again??)

RE: Seaplane pictures
this is my first plane and i decided to turn it into a floater. it's a alpha 60 with a saito .82 re covered spectrum dx7 soon to get a smoke system. i have yet to fly any of my other planes since i started float flying. there is no air field here and i really enjoy going to the lake with the kids and wife. we have been to the lake every saturday and sunday for the last three months. when the snow comes i will still use the floats.

RE: Seaplane pictures
Here is a picture of my Acro Wot on floats, which is a pain in the ass to fly with floats - to heavy I think. [X(]
And in the background a club member's Taxi Cub on floats, witch flies very well.

RE: Seaplane pictures
Hello Strykaas
I have a 15 years old but perfect running OS 61SF 2-stroke in it - lots of power.
I suspect my Acro Wot with floats maybe is too tail heavy, so I will move the receiver battery up front for a try.
With wheels on, its flying characteristics are awesome.

RE: Seaplane pictures
No, but lots of power though - very agile.
With wheels on it weights around 3,1 Kg, and with floats nearly 4 Kg, but still does not have any tip stall characteristics.

RE: Seaplane pictures
Maybe that sounds crazy to you, but do you think that installing an OS .75 AX could be doable ? Did you have any cg issue with the 61 SF up front ? I know the 61SF weighs the same as the 91 FX so why not a .75 AX ...

RE: Seaplane pictures
OS75AX maybe, but an OS91FX will sure be overkill.
I had to place my receiver battery as rear as possible (in the tail), to obtain a correct CG.

RE: Seaplane pictures
Hello again
After I moved the receiver battery from rear to up front, my Acro Wot flies like a dream now on pontoones.
Here is some pictures of it on take offs and landings.
