RE: Seaplane pictures
This Cub was built by master craftsman Fred Hildebrand of Casper, WY and presented to me when I moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ.
It was built from a Goldberg kit with Goldberg floats, Solartex covered and powered by a K&B .65. Fred said that it took him longer to build the floats than it did to build the airplane.
This photo was taken at Lake Havasu in November of 2009. It must have been pretty cold that morning since I have on a sweat shirt. It just doesn't
get much better that this!
Thanks, Fred!

My son's plane. It is a Kadet jr. that I scratch built from plans in 2004. OS .25 for power. I crashed trying to get off of grass in 2009 destroying the fuse, wing and tail feathers completely unscathed. I rebuilt late last year.

RE: Seaplane pictures
I guess I finally have a seaplane picture to show off. Here is my brother's Goldberg Falcon II that I put floats on and flew for him and my Seamaster Twin I modified and built from plans.

Right now I'm flying an GPs J-3 Cub 60 on floats, with an Contour HD Video Camera mounted on top of the wing. I have two video's on YouTube "Maiden Flight with Video at Millerton Lake, Ca. & Maiden flight of J-3 Cub on floats, the last video was filmed in 96, I just posted it a few weeks ago, check them out. I'm also working on a Pica 1/5 Waco YMF biplane I'm installing floats on it. And an de Havilland Chipmunk I'm planning on attaching floats to it, I'm working out the details for attaching floats now. Float season is here, enjoy!

RE: Seaplane pictures
Thanks guys! Those are just H-9 floats with a little added paint. The canoe is a great idea. I thought about a small fishing net leaning up against the floats and catching some of the small bass that I saw swimming around. Nice Cub Sherman!
