Default SEAWIND BY RICHMODEL

For those of you interested I came across another Seawind ARF. This one is by
Richmodel and can be found at www.aviarichmodel.com No information is given other than specs., etc. Could not tell if fuselage is fiberglass construction. From the pictures it looks very similar to the Great Planes version. If anyone has any information on this ARF, please post.

Your link doesn't work, and a Google search turns up nothing

Try http://www.avia-richmodel.com/

It will be interesting to see if any of RichModel's US or European distributors are willing to carry it, and take on Great Planes' lawyers.

Interesting, they are very similar, but not identical.

32 ounces per square foot wing loading......that should fly like an anvil.

Same as (or less than) the GP version

People say the GP version flies fine.

The wing area on the GP version (I don't know anything about the other, but they don't look the same) is a bit decieving. We know that other parts contribute to lift as well as the wings. Look at the size of the fuse...it's huge, especially in the flat bottomed area. It contributes about another 100-150 sq in of area. That all calcuates out correctly and has been verified by performance on a EP version that wasn't expected to fly at all based on the wing loading.

Why would lawyers be involved? How many types of P51's or Cub are for sale. I for one hope they do release it. Maybe give Great Planes a lesson in value. I have thier LongEZ and i'm impressed with it. It does appear to have a fiberglass fuse.
