Prop clearance from top of float?
 
How much clearance should there be from the bottom of the prop to the top of the float? How much do you need to keep the prop out of the spray?

have always been told to have at least 2 inches clearance
enjoy and keep the wet side down:D

Two to three inches is enough. Don't use wooden props!

And don't be surprised if you still get some spray. It's almost impossible to avoid.
