Float Plans

I have a 1/4 scale Taylorcraft that I would love to make floats for.
The plane weighs approx 15 pounds and gas a G26 engine.

Does anyone know where I can download a set of plans for suitable floats?

I have plans for floats for the 33% Cub and guess I could scale them down and modify them but it's quite a bit of work and the designer (Wendell Hostetler) has designed in retractable wheels which I wouldn't be using.

Any recommendations?

Ari

RE: Float Plans

There are basic plans in dxf format for several sizes at http://plans.rcmodell.hu/planscal.html
Scale them for float length of about 75% of fuselage length.

RE: Float Plans

:DYou can purchase plans for Edo style floats from Fred Novack . There are plans for three sizes : 26 " , 39 " , and 47 " . I suspect the 47" size would be good for you . I have the plans for the 47 " floats and I highly recommend them . His address is : Vintage R/C Plans 5105 Pine Hill Circle Howell , Michigan 48843 . Smitty <*(((>{
