G'day Mitchamus,
I was going through the posts & came across this one. The area where they are flying, is that one of the cooling tower ponds at the 1 of the 3 power stations at Piper Flat between Lithgow & Cullen Bullen?
When I used to live down in Sydney, we used to go past there to get to Mudgee to ride MX bikes. Nice part of the world out there, hope you enjoyed the place.

It's Lake Wallace, near Wallerawang. Just off the highway to Bathurst. About 15 mins out of Lithgow.

The Lithgow events are very groovy informal little events. Held twice a year.
