Electric Float Plane?

I've been flying float planes for a few years and greatly enjoy it, but my problem is I travel most of the year and can't take my larger planes with me. Has anyone flown some of the smaller park flyer size planes with floats? I am looking for something that I can take with me without all the tools and fuel needed for the glow ones. Something from GWS or Hobby Lobby maybe? Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks

Russ

I know that people are using GWS E-Starter with floats.
Not sure about power: it might be a bit lazy on the stock power systems (?)

A couple of years ago I saw a number of small electrics with floats at the Midwest Regional Float Fly in Michigan. I think they were from Hobby Lobby - give them a call.

If you're up for building, how about a small amphibian?...

Twinkle plans were in FlyRC, and it's capable. Small park flyer size, fly in pretty tight areas. It's an amphibian so you can take of land snow or water... put in an extra cell and it can fly like a bat outta-somewhere. :)
