Nice looking plane. Does it have a water rudder? If you max out the rudder throw it may get airborne useing the little understood circular take off run. Good luck.

That is not your problem the pool is plenty big enough, you need a larger engine, try the ys-110 that should get you out of there without hitting the sides, great picture i have to save this one for all my friends to see and i am sure my son will get a kick out of it.

I was leak testing the floats yesterday in the pool. I thought it was kinda funny looking so I thought I would take a picture for all of you...

I put floats on it this winter for snow flying. Today was the first time out on the water.
Im still havin fun with this old trainer...

pic from today...

Get a slide for the side of the pool and start your takeoff run down the slide to the water for takeoff >> then for landings come into the pool first and up the slide to slow down. :) :) ENJOY !!! RED

Fill the pool completely-you're still 4 inches from the top. THEN when you hit the wall it will bump the plane UP and you'll have flying speed before you hit the ground.

The YS91 mentioned in a previous post would help with the landings. just be sure the tail is waterproofed well, and hover in. Chop the throttle as it flops over onto the floats.

I zoomed in on the warning label of your pool. I think I found the problem.

I doubt if the slide idea will work but I have used this system a couple of times in my flying years, just when the plane is over the pool, full down elevator will work.

Floats are one of the best ways to add life to an old trainer. A buddy fixed up my worn out Hobbico SuperStar and put a set of home made floats under it. It provides some of the most relaxing flying I can find. Be forewarned Gumhead. Float flying ain't nothing but a whole bunch of fun.

Speaking of homemade floats, here's some made by my brother on his "Home Depot" plane. It's so named since the major parts were bought at Home Depot, especially the wings out of the same pink foam as the floats. Nope - no airfoil and it flys great!
