RE: paint question

rust-oleum is fuel proof to about 15% nitro but takes a long time to dry. Krylon is not fuel proof but it drys fairly quick and as long as it is not white because it will yellow you can fuel proof with clear urathane.

RE: paint question

Caution to everyone. The EPA has been messing with the paint formulas. Rustoleum is not the same formula as it used to be, at least here in California. A quick look at all the spray cans at Home Depot and Loews recently seemed to indicate that they are all using the same acrylic formula, which is not fuel proof.

I don't know if your state is as paranoid as mine, but it would be best to test any paint you buy now, even if it has been fuel proof in the past.
