different wing for mariner 40

Has anyone ever modified a lanier mariner 40 wing or, built or replaced with a different wing? I've been flying r/c for 32 yrs. and I know that, that wing is way wrong, to short, wrong airfoil, needs flaps.
any opinions.............JC
