Float Build

I just bought a kit to build a set of 40" Northeast Aerodynamics foam & wood floats. There were no instructions in the box.
I have the build pretty much figured out except for the location of two strips of 1/4" ply 3/4"x16".
Anyone out there got an instruction sheet or know the location of these strips?
Northeast are out of business so I dont know if they will answer my e mail.
Thanks.............Kevin

I have never built Northeast floats but those sound as if they should be the spine to which the struts attach.  Can those strips mount just inside the top along the centerline?

North East Aero has closed but their website is still open until 10/1/2010. You could probably email them and get your answer. They are up here in New England (NH) and were a great company with great flying plane kits.

Thanks to both of you for the replies.
I have sent an e-mail to Northeast but no reply yet.
Yes it does seem likely these ply strips are spines but the picture on the box does not show them mounted on top of the pontoons although I guess it is possible that it is necessary to cut some grooves in the foam floats and countersink them.

Just received a polite and totally helpful reply from Northeast. The ply strips are spines but are counter sunk into the top sheeting.
Mystery solved.

I had the pleasure of meeting the owners one time at the WRAM show in NY and they were really nice guys. Great that they came through.
