I fly in my yard or at the park down the street mostly but I have a field 15-20min away but the members all fly quads or helis or warbirds. Not much airspace for the sport or 3D folk so I rarely go...

Its a very clean airplane. Small gear and wheels. Glides as well engine off or idle. Heavy with a pretty thin wing. Sharp leading edge, almost a laminar airfoil. I have a 40fp on it swinging a 10/5.

Should be room to move it back or put the servos in the tail.

You our always want a thermal glider as tail heavy as possible without being too touchy so it signals lift well.

The tigers can't do anymore than a stick with 3D type throws and deffinatly not above what a pulse can do yet it still flies as well and slow as a tiger so I can't put my vote in for a tiger even...

No problem. You might have already fried that lipo but ballance it then charge it at 1/2A a couple times and see if it improves.

You have a bad or very unbalanced battery. If you are useing the included charger you need to upgrade to a good Balancing charger.
It isn't the motor that's drawing the battery down in 45 seconds....

It doesn't have to be a spacific size but most are .40-.60.
Can be mono, bi or tri wing or canard but anything but mono is rare.

It it needs to fly, float...
