Bec question

Does anyone know if it possible to use a airplane external BEC in a rc buggy. I know BECs(external) power the reciever from the esc batteries, but does it matter if its a plane, heli or quad external...

Im building a scratch mad monster truck and I need a good tx/rx combo in the 100$ to 150$ price range. Really need EPA and and a good receiver to handle 7 plus volts from a toro beast and at least 3...

I saw the mgm esc at kershaw designs and they are not cheap, the mmxl2 will give me what I need, hell on 15s the truck will fly in the air. Lol
