For now, I'll just make do with 40% throttle power and not do anything drastic. But I'll open it up once I get a replacement radio :p.

So... after I swap the 1st and 2nd channel connections, steering becomes erratic, but forward/backward movement appear to be normal.

Thanks for the suggestion - I just tried resetting to factory default (which is on the menu), then rebound the receiver, and voila! Nope, still not working... rats...
