Those tires look abused lol. Try some 1/8 buggy slicks if a 17mm hex kit is available. Those tires last forever and cost the least. Always a good upgrade.

Theres much better brands than tamiya. Tamiya couldnt care less about rc now it seems. They have the whole hobby locked down for accessories and are only innovative with some kind of slot car rc loop...
