I have a Heng Long P4 with the 6.0 electronics and I can't find how to shut off the BB firing either. 7.0 electronics show this on the controller instruction sheet but not on the 6.0 that I can find.

I agree with what you said about the 7.0 electronics. I'm just now getting back into rc tanks after a few years away. I purchased a Heng Long M-41 and was pleasantly surprised by the new electronics.
