The Volcano has been clocked doing 35MPH on youtube vids I've seen using an 2S and 45MPG with a 3S. I wouldn't put a 3S in it until you upgrade it, the stock parts won't handle it well.

I'd consider some other drive train upgrades for the extra power. The pro has metal gears throughout.

I did the aluminum servo saver on mine along with a metal geared servo. Hubs are next.

Since going aluminum, does your servo saver back off it's adjustment? I have an aluminum one coming, I find the plastic one just won't hold, the thumb wheel backs off til it won't steer anymore.
