that looks like about a 9" motor. This is the first time that I have ever seen a reloadable motor. Definitely cool. I have always used disposable motors in all my rockets. Never got quite that large!

I haven't come across any hardened gears, but you can harden your own gears with the heat and oil quench method. Heat your gears one at a time so they are red hot (not melting red hot) and grab them...
