Static test at WOT Sunday was 50 amps. I never use full power for long periods, just short bursts.

A couple of variables here. What kind of battery are you going to use to power your plane, Lipo, or Nimh? That will add the extra weight of your already 24 ounce plane. Which ever way you choose,...
