E-MAXX steering servo

I swapped my stock steering servo recently with a HS-5955TG

I also picked up Racer's Edge Hitec servo saver thinking they would work fine together.

The problem now is that the servo saver...

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

I had a crash last night but it wasn't quite as bad. I just finished dialing it in and it was flying pefectly. I picked it up and accidentally hit the "Idle Up" switch on the radio. It flew out of...

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

I just picked up a blade last week. My only experience with flying has been with a "Draganflyer", one of those (junk) helis with four blades. I gotta say, the blade is a lot easier to hover with...

Yeah, I think the helis are unkind to the wallet no matter which direction you choose! :)

RE: Flying RC18T video

I won't know the exact make until Saturday, however, I do know that i's being powered by a 2 cell lipo with a brushless motor if that helps at all.

RE: Flying RC18T video

That's pretty sweet - I really want one myself. Is it pretty difficult to learn? Have you tried a simulator at all?

RE: Flying RC18T video

It's electric powered and I *think* it's a Shogun 400.

RE: Flying RC18T video

We attached the heli using zip-ties. It was between that and servo tape.

The next video will have original audio for sure. I put this together kind of quickly so I didn't have a chance to mess...

RE: Flying RC18T video

hehe, thanks - that's actually my savage. The funny thing is that the pause wasn't *totally* intentional. I lost it in the glare from the light for a second. :)

Flying RC18T video

Some highlights I took from one of our Saturday night get-togethers. There's a lot of ramp footage but the end has footage of my RC18T strapped to a helicopter. Enjoy.

RE: onroad truck body pics

Great job on the RAM body. I'm also curious how that paint holds up.

SH .28 glow plugs

Does anyone know of the best plug to use in the SH.28? Is the McCoy 59 a good way to go? I'm in the middle of the break-in process right now.

onroad truck body pics

I've been searching for an on-road truck body for a while now and finally tracked one down. It's obviously a lot lower in the rear than a standard body so I had to take off the mount for the rear...

RE: Drifts one way, but not the other

You've probably tried this, but can you move the battery forward at all to center up the weight distribution? I had similar problems with my xxx-s when I had the battery seated all the way back.

RE: Cutting the body

It's more of a "score and tear" technique for me. You take a new exacto blade and cut along a line. (you don't have to cut that deep)
Also, make sure you cut all the way to an edge - you need a...

RE: Cutting the body

I just learned the "score and snap" technique myself. I was pretty amazed the first time I saw it done. Between that and curved scissors, my bodies are turning out a lot nicer.

RE: Looking for strange paint.

I've had some interesting results playing with Spazstix paints - this is the Gold/Teal/Orange/Purple backed with Parma's Outlaw Black.

xxx-s rally car conversion?

How realistic would it be to turn an onroad xxx-s into a rally car. No big jumps, just cruising around a track drifting through turns. Is it a matter of just putting bigger "rally" tires on it? ...
