RE: Barnestormer Ultimate

I know this is really old, but just in case someone is looking.

RE: Carden 35% Edge 540 build- Revived

There is only one tube in the stab. Troy Built Models probably has a carbon tube for the stab, if not, Gene at TBM can tell you where to get one.

Good luck,

RE: Control horn hard points??

I do it the same as Albert but I only go just to the top skin, not through it. I thread the bolt in from the bottom and cut the head off. This is just for a clean appearance from the top of the...

RE: 35% carden extra tail section

For the stabs, I make a root rib with tabs for 6/32 retainer screws from 1/8" light ply with the grain running for and aft. I then add doublers to the entire height of the rib at the tabs. In the...

RE: 35% carden extra tail section

Ward,
Ok, I'll start off with the way I do the wings using the DA pins. First, I don't like the 1/4" square blocks in the root of the wing, again, thousands are using it with no problems, so...

RE: 35% carden extra tail section

ZZ,
Did Stompers post clear that all up for you? I could take some pictures of my wings and stabs tomorrow and post if you like. The DA pins are great, very strong, easy to install, light weight...

RE: Who's Flown the Composite-Arf SuperXtra?

TT,
I have one, old style with a blade spar. Flies great, but it took some work to get it there. To get the maximum throws CA recomends you go with 4 elevator servos (there were serious tail...

RE: Carden 35% Edge 540 build- Revived

Albert,
Great suggestion on screwing the cowl into place on the brackets. I usually sneak into the air exit hole in the bottom of the cowl and use CA to tack glue the brackets in place. Then take...

You'll love the QQ Yak, it flies great! I also fly the 10x and love it. Very easy to use which encourages you to get the most out of it.

Any time you feel up to it and want to fly, give...

RE: rudder 'cheat' on snaps?

Bob,
I'm not going to get in too deep here into how to do snaps, there's already been a ton of advice, I don't think I could offer anything of magic that will solve issues. I will tell you that I...

RE: Carden 35% Edge 540 build- Revived

Steve,
Looks great! For the cowl, 5 is sufficient as long as the halves fit together clean, if there are any bows or iregularities, you can go with 6. And I would put one in each side of the nose...
