RE: OS Max 60FP

Curt I don't even have the slightest idea what a cool clamp is. This boat was (is) an electric, with dual motors, 1:1.95 transmission, wire drive and custom rudder/strut. It runs nicely on 12-16...

OS Max 60FP

Thanks for all opinions.

RE: Trim tabs question

The boat will porpoise a bit at full throttle. In fact it will actually become airborne, rudder completely out of the water, when negotiating small waves. This is easy to fix by moving the...

RE: Trim tabs question

Jan it's my "Aries" boat. Kind of an odd boat really. The pics of it BEFORE I removed the subsurface drive and put on a strut & rudder assembly, added wood stringers, and re-inforced the transom...

Trim tabs question

Anyone have a good explanation about how to properly adjust trim tabs?

RE: Paint

I'm planning on painting one of my boats this week. It's an ABS plastic hull. This particular boat is never going to be a "show" boat, and I don't own a spray gun, so I bought some KRYLON Fusion...

RE: The difference between the Kyosho Atlantio 059, and 600.

Kyosho doesn't make the Atlantio 059. Didn't you buy the boat off E_B_A_Y? I seem to remember your threads about it... Anyway, if that's the case, email one of the current sellers of the boat and...

Check the marketplace here at RCUniverse. There's at least two I saw for sale. Maybe one of those might fit your needs. Good Luck!

RE: Plug corrosion - why?

Thanks Gordy. I used silver solder that came in a kit I bought from a LHS made by Hobbico. The corrosion is around the plug "prongs" on the male Deans and inside the plug on the female Deans.

RE: Plug corrosion - why?

No ocean running, freshwater pond only. I did the WD-40, if anything it sure makes the Dean's connectors easier to take apart.

And while I'm on the subject, Dean's connectors drive me nuts. ...

RE: Thermal Shutdown?

Go to Offshoreelectrics.com and look at the picture of the CEN ESC and how it's been water-cooled. That's the same way I plan on cooling my Mtroniks. The heat sink has a "channel" built-in that...

RE: Thermal Shutdown?

Maybe it's an Mtroniks thing. I have the same problem in one of my boats with the Mtroniks Tempo ESC. Cuts out just like you described. I think the Mtroniks are so watertight they retain a lot of...

RE: How do I cool my engine?

lmao! Just this afternoon at the pond I was cursing myself for putting the water outlet on the RIGHT side of my boat.
No course set up or anything, but running clockwise just feels more normal.

Plug corrosion - why?

The Deans Plugs on my batteries and on the Y-harness I made for 12 cell use are showing a lot of corrosion, similiar to what you see around the terminals on a car battery. Are my batteries fried? ...

RE: some one explain boat props to me please

I don't know just how waterproof it is, but what concerns me is that it ISN"T water-cooled. Can it be water-cooled? It's bound to get hot and shut down if not.

RE: Are Graupner Boats available in U.S?

RE: Are Graupner Boats available in U.S?

I have a Graupner Phantom. It's a fine beginners boat, and it can be upgraded a little to make it even better.
The hull is fantastic, very stable, and the sub-surface drive makes it handle turns...
