The kit has no cheap plastic parts. Even the cowl is shaped balsa and permanently attached. A little work involved shaping and sanding but much nicer.

Patriot First Flights and Bird Strike

After a lot of blood, sweat, and CA fume induced tears, my Patriot finally took to the air. I have to say while not a difficult kit to build, it was very time consuming. Here's the specs.

The retacts do fit completely in the wheel well. You do have to bend the nosewheel back slightly as shown on the plans.

I've almost got my Patriot ready to fly. Got the engine and pipe setup yeterday. Got 14700 rpm on APC 10 X 8.

Heres my setup:

YS 45 SF Macs 7.5cc pipe
No intakes
16 oz Hayes Slimline...
