RE: cleaning your air filter

Just because you haven't got a clue, doesn't mean you should spread your ignorance....
If you wanna be a cheapskate, and save your 5 bucks, then that's your prerogative. I can understand wanting...

RE: cleaning your air filter

Denatured alcohol works WONDERS! It cuts right through the oil, doesn't harm the foam, rinses away quickly and cleanly, and evaporates fast.
Air compressor works great for the quick dry, or you...

RE: Muffler

Some pipes are quiet-er than others...HPI had a pretty quiet pipe for the RS4.
Otherwise one of those exhaust deflectors can help dull the noise a little bit.

And, as long as you aren't doing...

RE: should i keep this (POLL)

If the lid was on good, and it wasn't left out in the sun for those 2 and a half months, then it's probably as good now as it was then. I have left fuel in my fuel bottle for that long without...

RE: Help, Nitro running problems

If you haven't changed it from break-in, then the plug should be changed.(could change it anyway...just to be sure)
200-210 sounds a bit on the cool side. You are probably right on the money with...

RE: motor stalls after few minutes?

Temps should be in the 220 to 280 degree range for most small blocks.
You are right about the toe in...It affects handling stability, but wears tires unevenly. 0 degree rear blocks are for street...

RE: motor stalls after few minutes?

The HPI star .15 only had a single mixture needle, not a hsn and lsn, like the rest of the planet. Getting a good tune is hard to do with only one needle...
If it's running too hot, you can...

RE: RC10GT2 and S-Maxx overheating problem

All engines take different amounts of time to be fully broken in...It could be that the AE.15 is taking it's time.
I have had some Dynamite .12spd engines that have taken most of a gallon to settle...

RE: Proline Edge Tire Question

They are designed to be mounted either way...One way will give better response under high speed turning conditions, the other way lends itself to low speed response.

RE: rc10gt pipe

I think they have been discontinued for a while. Your best bet would be hit up e-bay, or the like.

RE: question

Yeah, I have had the engine in my RC10GT start backwards numerous times. Usually happens on startup, when it's really rich, and it mis-fires.
I had it happen once when I cased the chassis on the...

RE: trx 2.5 wont keep running??

Sounds like all it needs is some fine tuning....
Try raising the idle a bit, or leaning the low speed needle, and see if that helps.

RE: [URGENT] Jato 3.3 supercharger

I have always wanted to waste some money on one of those nitro cycles, but I can never seem to get projects ahead enough to do so.[:@]
Just thinking about what a supercharger does, and then how our...

RE: IS IT FINISHED?? HELP PLEASE!!! Newbie here..

The HSN original setting isn't a magical setting that is where it is 'supposed' to be.
The factory default settings are designed to be a neutral setting to get the engine safely running and...

RE: speed tuned .12tz

I wouldn't think so....Not in a 2WD offroad truck. The only difference will be how fast you spin the tires off when you come out of a turn and pin the throttle.
My Dynamite .12spd has enough power...

RE: [URGENT] Jato 3.3 supercharger

MONEY!!!
It doesn't have to actually do what they claim it does...This is advertising and marketing...The truth doesn't have anything to do with it.

RE: nitro evader to rc10gt2?

There is a special nut you can buy....Thread it on the shaft, and cut off what sticks out past the nut.
Otherwise you can just eye-ball it...Thread the clutch nut on, measure the gap, then cut...

RE: Durability and reliability of NITRO

My first conclusion when I contemplated the poster's initial question...
Nitro may seem less reliable when compared to electric, but I wonder if some of it is just perception.
Unless you have...

RE: Can a HPI Nitro MT with the Nitrostar 15FE engine run 10% nitro fuel?

^^I think what he means by that is...
It's gonna be an underpowered, overheated boat anchor.

RE: Removing manifold

In a pinch, I have heard of people using cereal box cardboard as a manifold gasket.
It isn't meant to be a permanent fix, but it could get you back out bashing till you can get to the store.

RE: Fuel. Which One?

You can safely change from one brand of fuel to another, or even different nitro content(most engines need to be properly shimmed for 30%, though).
It may take a tank or two of careful monitoring,...
