Toledo gets a little cold and windy in the winter and I get those twitchy thumbs, so I've decided to get a micro heli for my apartment. I'm looking for some opinions on how to do this on a budget...

RE: ETOC Winner

Foster really got the crowd going at the end of his routine. That inverted torque roll (does that have a name yet?) was really exciting. Everyone really cleaned up their show after the first round...

RE: Firebird Commander or Aerobird Challenger?

I have both planes. The Challenger is definitely the best way to go. You'll eat your batteries up faster, but have twice the fun.

RE: Slow Stick: 300 or 400

Depends on your batteries. You'll want at least 7 nimh cells or 3 cell lipo for good performance on the s400, or 7 cells or 2 lipo cells on the s300 for comparable performance. You'll get longer...

RE: Aerobird Balance and COG

You shouldn't have much trouble with the Challenger as far as CG goes. If it's having some bad habits (like won't climb or frequently stalls) then you might want to consider messing with it, but if...

RE: Slow Stick and E-Flite Lipo

Yikes 10 amps! Is that when it peaks for a few seconds or do i need to look for a new ESC too!? I got this as a package so I assume the equipment would work together correctly. 10 to 15 minute...

Slow Stick and E-Flite Lipo

I've got a slow stick and it flies pretty sluggish for a slow stick. I chose to use a standard size Futaba 7 channel (overkill) receiver because I haven't picked up a crystal for my GWS 4 chan....

RE: Go Brushless CD Motor and Delta Electronics

Delta electronics have a small board built onto the backside of the motor and the power leads (2 wires) run from that. Maybe that's a non variable speed controller. It's time to go find some real...

RE: Temperamental Aerobird Extreme

I've noticed the cheap connectors on the batteries sometimes get pushed back too far for the female end to make a good contact to the battery. I've had to push them back into the connector many...

RE: GWS ME-109 First Flight

If there is an option - balanced is what you want, but without being a smart*** it's better to be nose heavy.

Look through the manual again and find how far from the leading edge the plane...

RE: GWS ME-109 First Flight

If it wasn't climbing it sounds like your center of gravity was/is too far forward.

If it dived to the left you're torque rolling - from my understanding it's from too much power. Check your...

RE: Beginner Park Flyer

If you're going to use your own controller check out GWS's line of park fliers. They're reasonably inexpensive and a lot of fun. It would be doubly good for you to learn the guts of an electric by...
