I was using electrical tape. sounds funny but up till then it had worked very well. I figured out thought that it is the receiver, either it is fried or I just can't get it to bind for some reason.

I have herd the Summit is slow but it looks plenty fast for me given what it is. I thought Associated was a high end brand maybe they are too geared towards racing to be durable not sure?

I'd go with the Revolt handles way better than the Spartan. I have an Impulse 31 V2 great boat but stock it's only good to 4S not 6S like they say.
