RE: TC3 Understeer

A simple but effective way to get locked diff performance without any damage - remove the diffballs, the diff washers then have much greater friction to overcome before slipping ;)

RE: where to buy abs drifting tyres?

Hey qstein, you might have a better chance of buying PE in Norway, it's easily as good as ABS too

RE: nitro or electirc?

Which is the best colour, red or green?

There is no best, electrics look realistic and scale speeds whereas nitros tend to be more like grip racing

RE: Axle Pins

If you want cheap indestructible drive pins, you need 2mm dowels - these are nitrided/case hardened and much harder than a file and much cheaper than the real thing, and they just don't wear because...

RE: re abs pipe

Polypipe has identification marks on the outside

I use black but it's PE not ABS (it's 6mm wall thickness and better IMHO than ABS)

RE: weird!!!

This normally happens with mechanical speed controls (variable resistor), you drive too long after the cells are 'flat' and there just isn't enough power in the battery pack to move the steering...

RE: Belt Drive Question

I've used balldiffs and geared diffs - and I don't like geared diffs, too much wear & tear for my liking

RE: TC4 drifter?

TC4 is perfect, if you go down the lockers route I'd do front and rear because it makes the car very predictable and driftable

RE: Belt Drive Question

TC4 most certainly doesn't have a geared diff dude - ball diff all the way, Associated only do balldiffs, they won more Worlds than anyone else so it must work ;)

RE: Belt Drive Question

The ball diff by it's very design can take a hit fairly innocuously as the drive rings just skip momentarily, whereas geared diffs can (and do) strip gears

There's far more wear & tear when you use rc cars for their intended purpose - grip racing ;)
