I just bought (stole actually) a NEW MVVS 12 engine from the eBay "Buy It Now" feature for only $60.00. Received the engine today and it is sure enough a NEW condition engine .... it has the number...

.....As second choice, I applied layers of medium viscosity CA to the bottom of the ports. That looks as though it might work, but it might come off in all that fuel and oil and heat and vibration....

Bob,
The HD crank you have might give a bit better performance at particular RPM levels due to better internal balancing, but the main difference will be in the longevity of the engine's running...
