LRP Spec .28 Carb

I need a replacement carb for the LRP .28. They are discontinued and I can't find one. I searched online and everyone is out...even Tower Hobbies.

I will try and run the boat today, but a few chips under the boat(one being 2" long) is a problem, so no running until I get it fixed. I am more committed to gas boats, so this may realistically end...

I got the engine going. Could a loose flywheel keep it from running? It was loose and I had to add a shim or two and set it to 3 turns out and it fired and ran. Hopefully I will get out to the pond...

I just checked the online manual and it said 2 turns from closed on hsn and 1/2 turn from flush on lsn...2 seems too lean...I will definitely try the 3 1/2 out then. Also what is the best running...

I guess the main problem from what others say is oil % content...being that 18% is the minimum.

I run Odonnel l 20% RTR fuel. I called Horizon and they said that they have not had a case of a broken flexshat in years...needless to say they are sending me out all the parts lost.

Update:

I got the carb out of the boat and am thinking of the Super Tigre carb or another Dynamite one. Also the pressure nipple on the header came loose. I assume regular JB Weld to hold it?...
