RE: JR 9303

I have currently or have used dozens of the ScanSelect rxs. Never had a single glitch yet. I could certainly see one bad receiver but I wonder if you may have an intermittent problem with tx...

Can't help on the Paragon but a Gentle Lady has a carved balsa canopy. Is your model a Sophisticated Lady with T-Tail?

RE: Looking for interest in winch product

Sounds interesting. I would think that this would take a little getting used to for guys that have winched for a long time. If the cost was not too expensive I would be interested in one just to...

Gorgeous!

I have a NIB Hybrid Detect and IIRC they are from the same family. What power system are you using?

RE: how much flight time of a discus launch

Maybe something like a Skeeter or Climaxx? I have a friend that them and has excellent flights with them. Both are kits or can be built from plans. There are a lot of cheap kits and plans out there.

RE: how much flight time of a discus launch

Yep, I resisted the DLG urge for years. I confess, I was a wingspan snob, had to have more wing area and thought the "tiny" gliders would not interest me. A buddy talked me into getting one and I...

RE: how much flight time of a discus launch

Longest DLG flight so far is about 28 minutes. I only started DLGs about 3 weeks ago though I have flown RC sailplanes since the late 70's. Model was a Photon II.

RE: Towing gliders to altitude, risky?

Rock,

Yeah, I figured your were joking.:)

Your last post explains thoroughly why I keep all my power stuff at home and sans tow release. All of my soaring buddies that decided to learn...

RE: Towing gliders to altitude, risky?

Actually, it's not that risky and in some ways much easier on the sailplane than winching. To qualify what I am saying about it not being risky:

It does require a certain amount of experience...

RE: JR 10X internal fuse

No. I build my own packs. What I at first suspected was that I plugged the battery in with the Tx switch on or I plugged it in wrong. I don't use the plastic case since I run Lipos and 2000...

RE: JR 10X internal fuse

Yep Tim,

I am beginning to suspect a bigger issue here. Both of my 10xs are having problems and they were just returned from being serviced (onboard Lith battery replaced). NOT by JR but a...

RE: JR 10X internal fuse

Hi Tim,

Yep, I'm aware of the battery board issue and worked around that but if you remove the battery and look just to the left of the batt. connector you can see an old fashioned glass fuse...

JR 10X internal fuse

I accidently popped the fuse on my 10X. I know what I did, dumb mistake, but this is the second (and last hopefully) time I did this in the past month. I have replaced this fuse in the old X347 but...

RE: can someone recognize this aircraft

I and a friend built a Long-Eze, starting in 1981 and finished around 1989. The nose down parking served several purposes. Mainly, as mentioned is the tendency to fall back without pilot weight. ...

Hi Ed,

I am sure you are right about where to stand on the slope but in the above referenced situation the "Authorities" would not let anyone near the site anyway.[:@]
