Good Motor?

Hey, I just got the Yokomo FC3s, and FD3s kits and I'm looking to outfit them with a good motor. I need something that has good acceleration, not necessarily top end quick, but gets up to speed...

No, I'm pretty sure that the mounting portion for the pipe is different, but I know that the manifold is different.

That R-spec is not the one......its only a three port. Not to mention the specs on the 7-port were 1.5hp @ 36,000.

The local LHS guy was telling me about...that and fantom's new release that's supposed to kill everything. But I have seen pics of the OS motor...its a silver head with a black body.

I don't think there is a way to have them wear evenly due to the weight transfer of the car, and the weight diff. front to back.

I don't think that they will. The TCS recieved high mark in the RTR catagory. I've been fortunate enough to drive one, and they are actually pretty nice.

No No, those are the FD bodies....I'm looking for FC body. The FD is from 93-present and the FC is 86-91. on yokomo's site the model number is DP-Fc3s.

The clutch being a problem would be more along the lines of engagement issues....IE the clutch wouldn't engage until 15K or something. You may want to see if your heat sink is tightened down too. ...

I had that happen on the 4tec. Turned out to be the idle stop screw being out too far. I would check that first off....second, try adjusting the top end fuel mixture.
