The FCC requires that in order to turn on the camera and transmit from an aerial platform, we must by law, have a HAM license. Technically, the FCC can bust us.

Oops. Referring to Still cameras that is. Until you can fly a $1100, stabilized, down linked Sony, you can't resale the results. Just not enough res. Also, legally, you need a Technician HAM license...

Nikon Coolpix are arounf 6 oz. Res either 2 or 3 mega pixel. Lightest and around $200. Other than the Canon line which is slightly heavier but has much better optics and software, everything else is...

Cliff's advice is the bench mark for electric aerial photography. As soon as LiPo's become less expensive and solve the discharge quirks, and I have depreciated my NiHi's, I'll switch.

I work with land developers, builders and landscape architects. I need a hi res, low altitude image.

After optics and resolution, the shutter speed is the most critical feature. I have 2 1.7oz...

Thank you for your response.

Yes, the camera's weight is a disadvantage. But I need the resolution. Minolta has their line of Dimage which are half the weigh but 2x the cost.

The weight of the 4meg camera is 7oz. A stock Wingo has been a poor choice to date.

I did try a Slow Stick. Nice little plane, but too...
