RE: prop hub for cy engine

Checkout the hub from the SPE 26 engine. From memory it has a tapered shaft. Not sure if it will fit though.

I drill a pilot hole through the hub then a 5/32 hole to correct depth.
Coat hole and magnet with CA glue and press into place. Between the jaws of a...

RE: Adding electronic ignition to a Saito 450R glow engine

Hello, Following this thread with interest.
Could I ask if you don't mind, did you check the firing of each individual sensor in relation to it's respective cylinder or just one cylinder then left...

RE: New Saito 4 Cycle Gas Engine, 3 Cyl FG-84

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but don't radial engines have non-symetrical spark firing?
Meaning a 3 cylinder engine does not fire every 120 degrees.
I believe it is to do with how the master...

RE: recently bought a used spe 26

An extra 500 RPM can be had from a larger 11mm carb over the stock 9.5. Mine had a bad case casting that needed replacing.
Original ignitions were "melody" I believe. BCMA sold them with the RCEXL.

RE: RC Exl Ignition Users

I always machine my magnet hub 1 mm (40 thou) bigger in diameter than the Sensor securing hub and this gives me a nice close fit.

The ST G2300 below has the securing ring 1 mm under the standard...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

I have adapted a "nitro" muffler to this engine. Not run it yet. Has a much bigger "chamber" but much smaller outlet. I may make up a dual pipe outlet like the one in the pic (made for a G2300).

RE: ASP 52FS From Glow to Gas with RCExcel Ignition

This is a sensor mount I did for a Super Tigre 2300. It is secured by two M3 grub screws and can be rotated to set your timing.
If you have a 4mm diameter magnet, a 5/32 drill bit makes for a nice...

RE: making my own glow engine, what materials for liner/piston

What about buying the piston/ring and making the sleeve. Pistons are relatively inexpensive and come with the piston pin and retainers ready for your rod.
For a novice, this maybe the way to go and...

RE: hall sensor and magnet gap on SPE 40cc

The wrong side of the magnet could be facing the hall sensor. Hold the sensor upside-down and flick the magnet past it to see if you can get a spark.

RE: Walbro 694 vs 255C

The 12.7 is probably too big for a 26 (You may find transition issues) if not on a highly tuned engine like a Zenoah or other high end type.
And the 9.5 too small. Restricting RPM by 500 to 1000.

RE: SPE 26cc ignition timing 42 degrees?

A walbro with a 11mm venturi will help if you have the stock 9.5mm carb. I was getting 8300 on a SPC 16X8. It's chinese, the quality varies.
