RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

If the throttle servo goes dead or loses signal, would a rubberband be strong enought to return the servo back to idle? I tried moving a servo (umpowered) by hand and it seems to have a good amount...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Does anyone know where I can buy a two speed tranny for the ST-1? I know it's not good for racing but I'm just a basher and wanted to try it. Pros/Cons? Is it even worth it?

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

The ST-1 is a GREAT basher! Cheap and tough as nails. The radio is fine as long as you're not with a bunch of other people. You may want to change the steering servo...but not needed. Just keep...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

I have the pullstart LPR z.28 spec3. The non-pullstart truggy version is supposed to be even better. It's a great basher but is you're serious about racing, most would go for a high end .21

RE: fuel line

I have two different fuel lines with different inner diameters. Both have similar outer diameters but one has a thicker wall (smaller inner diameter). The both fit as the fuel lines stretch. ...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

While the Picco/JPX may be a better mill, my vote goes to the LRP. Just as good or better run times than the stock TTR, easy to break in and tune. Since I got mine, it's been hassle free. It's...

RE: Tire Traction - Sealing Holes in wheels?

Get some LPR's or duct tape the inside of the tires to help with ballooning.

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Keith - I had to shim it about 1/4" to get the pullstart to clear the frame. I use some scrap metal that I had and cut it to size. You still need to shim it if you get a rotostart as the motor...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

I pushed the LRP pretty good and got between 8-9 min on a tank...and it was probably set a tad rich. It seems that the LRP has better runtimes than the stock TTR mill (I was getting 7-8 min/tank).

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

I haven't timed te LRP but it seems no worse than the stock TTR...maybe even better run times. However, I've just broken it in and I'm not pushing it real hard (WOT for 5 sec bursts). My decision...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

I recently got an LRP z.28 Spec3 pullstart for my ST-1 and it ripppps!!! Sooooo much more power/speed that the stock TTR engine. I also bumped up to a 14T CB and a Dynamite 086 pipe. Very pleased...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

How will the 90* tiger drives work? I have an LRP Z28 Spec3 and at 90*, you can't get the wand in there because of the exhaust and/ or pipe. From the looks of it, you need something that comes off...

RE: Cheap steering servo & electric gear!!!

Yes, the rx pack was charged. I'm using the stock tx/rx from my TT ST-1 (I think it's 27Mhz).

RE: Vertical rotostart/tiger drive for LRP 28 Spec3?

Thanks, but I checked the tiger drive and realized that vertical won't work as the exhaust port would block the wand. Rotating it horizontal won't work either because of the pipe. So, I need...

Vertical rotostart/tiger drive for LRP 28 Spec3?

I have an LRP 28 Spec3 pullstart engine and wanted to know what rotostart or tiger drive would work. It needs to be 90* or vertical type (parallel to the pullstart) as the back of the engine faces...

RE: Cheap steering servo & electric gear!!!

I ordered two of the 996 servos for my ST-1 truggy. They are stronger/faster than the stock servos, but there seems to be some glitching and range issues. Whene I'm about 50 ft away the servos...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Is the single 750 motor starter box stronger than the twin 550 starter box? I've heard that the twin 550's are a little weak for the JPX 28 and I hope the 750 is stronger so it can handle the...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

I'm thinking of getting an OFNA starter box. My pullstart broke again and I'm done restringing it. Do you think this would be enough to turn over a JPX 28? I plan to use two 4s lipos wired in...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

JPX needs a starter box...which is more $$$. What about the Picco with Pullstart? For those of us without a starter box, what would be the best pull start option?

RE: LRP .28 Spec 3 vs OS .30 v2?

RE: LRP .28 Spec 3 vs OS .30 v2?
