RE: VENTURE 30

Hi Rick, I suppose it all depends on the condition of the Heli. Also ther are many opinions about which Heli is the best etc. I have the Venture 60 and my mate has the Venture 50. We both learned on...

RE: What Is The Purpose Of The Mid Range Needle

Fritz thanks for the information and taking the time to post those curves, it is much appreciated. I am going to try those curves as you have suggested and see. I run a 15% nitro mix and that seems...

RE: What Is The Purpose Of The Mid Range Needle

Fritz, I understand what you are saying, but what then would be the purpose of using your stick at 3/4. For someone that is fairly new to flying it would make the heli a lot more sensitive to fly it...

What Is The Purpose Of The Mid Range Needle

Hi All,
I have the OS70 SZ-H with the OS60K carb and was just wondering after reading much about throttle and pitch curves what the purpose would be for my Mid Range needle setting. My carb has...

RE: Cleaning Solvents, What do you use?

I would imagine your simple green is the same as our clean green here. But that is what I use too, and to get into all those very difficult places I use a trick we learnt in the army to clean our...

RE: wind and gyros

From what I have read so far, and I am new to this, is that safe wind speeds to fly in should be round about 5 to 8 mph. I would be scared to fly mine in 30 to 40 mph winds. Is there any accepted...

RE: best heli to learn on

Having just gone thorugh this curve and flying now for 3 months only, I have realised there is no cheap way to start this sport. It is going to cost money no matter what heli you buy. However I agree...

RE: Gyros

I do not think it is possible with gyros, as you would need to stabilise 3 axis X,Y,Z and connecting the gyros to the servo's would render your collective pitch mixing almost useless.

RE: So new it hurts.

I second you on that advise. I have only been at it for just over two months now and am hovering, doing figure 8s, forward flights and a few other things. Where I am there is nobody, and I had to...

RE: autonomously controlled helicopter

Any idea what that Helis costs? I see to add the Novatel GPS systems is $8000 +$3000 for the yearly satelite subscription. Price must be horrific. But I do think it would be a real good challenge to...

RE: Please Help Needle Idle setting

This is a very tricky part of setting your Heli up. I had the same frustartions, the Heli was running perfectly till one day it decided to start spluttering. I would say that if you have the factory...

RE: Venture 50 Tail Sluggish

The gyro is in tail lock mode, which I assume would be normal mode. The rudder channel is set to 100%. I will turn the gyro gain down and try again. I turned the dual rates to 125% and the EXP to...

RE: ClearView RC Helicopter Simulator

what is the realism like in comparison to realflight. Realflight gives you a real good feel for hovering and flight. I tried FMS first but found that is was simply to easy to hover, could do it...

RE: Just a query

If you build up the rotor speed very slowly and feed rudder when neccessary it minimises the yawing a lot. Getting rubbers for your skids is a must if taking of and landing on hard surfaces. My...

RE: Venture 30 Cp-Severe Wobble

If your shaft is fine and it is still wobbling check the blade balance. My friend has the venture 50 and had a wobble which was due to his blade balance being out. They were wooden blades too. How...

RE: What are the load carrying abilities of your R/C heli?

A 30 size heli can lift about 1-2 lbs but will greatly hamper performance. A 60 size can lift about 5-8 lbs with the same performance hit. The Bergen Observer is designed specifically for that...

Good point about the belt being installed incorrectly. Something else to check which gave me some problems is the tail control rods may be brushing up against your main gear. I have inserted a pic...

RE: NEW TO HELIS CAN'T WAIT
