RE: Custom Police Body

I know, I know, get off my a##, JS! :D I did it after the picture was taken. Besides, they made nice roll protection on more than one occasion!

RE: Custom Police Body

Nick,

My suggestion is to keep the word "Polizia". That way you stay with the Italian theme. I like your idea, though! I'd say make the lights functional if you are not going to race with that...

RE: Tuning hastles RB concept 12 motor

Hmmmm......I thought maybe there could be one around the carb or head. I don't know, I am grabbing at straws here. I still sould like to send it to Cali so Rody could look at it and give it some TLC....

RE: Tuning hastles RB concept 12 motor

RE: Tuning hastles RB concept 12 motor

Well, I exaggerated a little! I meant I would be nervous taking the carb out and taking it all apart. If you say it is that easy, I might try it. I looked at it last night, only one nut to loosen to...

RE: L. Collari Innotech xs390 plus Mielke Pipeset.

One more quick question, Storm.

How does this engine compare to the Werks-Collari WRXLC12Pro3? Oops, one more. Do you have a package deal with the xs210?

RE: Tuning hastles RB concept 12 motor

Wow! Great move, Pat! I'll have to try that when I get up the nerve to take my engine apart. You know what I was going to do? Send it to Ace Hobbies. THE Rody Roem is going to be there on July 22. He...

RE: L. Collari Innotech xs390 plus Mielke Pipeset.

I figured the 2.1cc was a .12 but, are they hard to tune? Please answer not as a salesman!:D

Thanks!

RE: Tuning hastles RB concept 12 motor

I fell your pain, Pat! I have a non-pull start RB and it does the same thing. A very knowledgable neighbor spent an hour trying to tune it. He even flushed out the carb with fuel. We suspect it might...

RE: Cleaning Engine

P.S. to that Nitroaddict:

You can buy it at Wal Mart-type places as well. Only, look in the paint/stain section of the store. I use Simple Green and Iso-alcohol mix in a spray gun powered by my...

HPIRacer,

Update: Fixed the exhaust problem, painted the custom header, now waiting for parts. It (44T spur gear) has been backordered for a week now. I hope to get it today. I also put my spare...

RE: wow this is just not my week............

Hi (ex-)fellow Illinoisian! Thanks for the tip. I don't think Danville has anything anymore. I live 30 min. from there. The LHS says Bloomington is the closest, not sure. I may have to check out...

RE: wow this is just not my week............

Wow! You know quite a bit for 17! I started nitro late in life. When I was around 10-12, I was into rockets and U-control .049 airplanes. I (or my parents) didn't have enough money to get me to the...

RE: wow this is just not my week............

Hey, HPI:

What frequency do you have, 27 or 75? If you have the 27, the RX you need is an R135__ (fill in your channel preference). That is what I am going to get, one of these days.

How do...

RE: wow this is just not my week............

Cool! I ran mine last night. That thing is an ANIMAL! My brakes are a little weak and I launched it up my driveway curb.[:@] Now I have a little road rash on top of the cylinder head. Dammit! I...

RE: wow this is just not my week............

You are correct, sir! So, what is the status of your RS4? I started messing with mine the other day, I may have a few questions for you. It needs a little help since I shoe-horned a Nova .15 in it!

RE: wow this is just not my week............

Great! I hope you get your car issues worked out! When you do, and check out the track, let me know how you like it. Maybe I'll meet you up there this summer. Hey, I think that track has a web site....

The reason I ask is because I am in Champaign and there is NOWHERE to race on-road except at big parking lots. Which, they are nice but it is just me. I am very new to this hobby and would like to...

RE: Cleaning the car......

Gordie,

I personally use 80 psi. I could go a little more but this works well enough. Compressed air would go great with your WD-40 trick. I also heard it is good for the plastic parts as well...

RE: Prevent stones get into the belt

THANKS!

There is a place here in town that specializes in plastics and making things out of plastic. A little hole-in-the-wall type place. Heck, the guy just pointed me to the remnants and said,...

A little late but here you go.......

I did epoxy it in but I think it will come out okay when you need to replace it. And yes, I haven't cleaned the car since my last time out. I just learned a...
