Maybe someone can offer ideas oh how to ship (move) 3 glow airplanes, 60" wingspan size, from CA to TX? I can't imagine the size of the boxes and packing and expense to have UPS or FEDEX do it - or...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

I have an Escapade with a O.S. 46AX on it. Did the maiden a couple weeks ago and it flew great! No flutter, no tail wagging - just a couple of clicks of trim and it flew great. I had a friend fly...

RE: Kyosho Spitfire 50 Build

Chaddiemac - Thanks for the reply. I had seen that pilot figure - liked it as well - just didn't know how it would look. It looks great in yours.

I haven't started to build mine yet - one of these days! A friend just built the Kyosho Spitfire 90. Has had the firewall come loose a couple of times. Various people have mentioned that they had...

Did you have to do much modification to get the 12 oz tank to fit?

RE: Kyosho Spitfire 50 Build

You might want to look at the fuel tank. It's only 8 oz. I read in another thread that it wasn't large enough and that he swapped it out for a 10oz. He has a OS 70 in his.

I'm looking forward to following your build. I just bought the same plane. Probably won't start the build for a couple of weeks.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I think that might have been part of my problem. I had it doing pretty well around 2800-3000 on the low end - but kept trying to get it lower. Most of my experience is with 2 strokes - clearly FS...

RE: Beginner with some concerns.....

Jason - temperature isn't a major concern with airplane engines. Helicopters yes - but not airplanes as they have a lot of air flow across the cooling fins. As far as a tachometer - I have one, but...

RE: Beginner with some concerns.....

If you get a RTF, it will include a basic transmitter and receiver with crystals. Most transmitters are "tuned" for the specific frequency of the crystal included. Changing the crystal in the...
