RE: What's wrong, me or the truck

Listen you only have to disconnect the throttle linkage, exhaust pipe from the tvp and then take out 4 screws through the holes in the skid plate in order to remove the engine. That's about a 2...

RE: What's wrong, me or the truck

The one way is on the engine behind the rotostart plate. It's hpi part 1430 and you'll have to remove the engine and backplate to get to it. It's about a 10 minute job start to finish for me and...

RE: What are the weak points?

Well the diffs are weak and need the 4 spider mod and machine threaded screws to hold the ring to the cup. The hpi hd parts are pure bs so you'll want to stick to the stock parts and spend your...

RE: savage propbles roto start problems

If you keep on trying to start a flooded engine you will kill the one way. I've had one ways last over a gallon on my s25 and the one way in my mach is the original and the rotostart works just fine...

RE: What's wrong, me or the truck

Well you're supposed to plug the exhaust hole with your finger while bumping the rotostart to pressurize the fuel line to the carb. If the engine won't turn over with the plug in then you've killed...

RE: Losi Zombies....all show or all go?

I run them on pavement and grass and they don't have the grip that the stock gt tires have but they're pretty good. The foams that come with them suck and shift around in the tire if you don't glue...

RE: which one?

Ofna 18098 mp servo saver w/bearings is around $19 and you won't have to go back in there for your servo saver again if you'll do it right the first time.

RE: stock wheels stripping!

Replace your stock wheel hexes with some better ones like the gpm's. My stock hpi hexes were stripping out wheels like crazy so I got the gpms and no more stripping even with lots of power and great...

RE: aluminum diff

Yes I did the 4 spider mod and I'm using kyosho bs107 bevel shafts. I've packed my rear diff with vaseline and my front has mobil 1 synthetic grease. I thought I'd try something different just to...

RE: 13t Clutch Bell + 52t Spur gear

I've never had to adjust my tranny for a cb change when going up or down and my shifts are always smooth and seamless.

RE: bevel gear problem

86032 are the bevels w/spiders for the diff cup. Regardless of what engine you run you need to do the 4 spider mod to insure longevity in the diffs. A bad bearing or flexing gear box will cause the...

RE: BACK PLATE ISSUE?!?

The issue is that during early production of the s25 loctite wasn't being applied to the screws in the backplate and rotostart. During operation they would vibrate loose and allow the pin in the...

RE: Savage .25 shutting off without warning

Are you running an os a5 plug like hpi recommends? If you're running a colder plug then there's your problem. If not then check for air leaks, worn spots in your fuel line, crack in the fuel tank,...

RE: 4-SPIDER DIFF MOD - HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?????

The stock diffs are not fine and the s25 will trash them in no time at all. If you've already run the truck then by all means keep running it until failure. If you haven't then take it apart and do...

RE: heard of the a shoe clutch???

Forget shoed clutches and get a sliding clutch instead. Much easier to install and grabs better without the slip of a standard clutch.

RE: Savage Not Moving

If the slipper clutch is tight and the center drive shafts are intact then you're one way in the tranny is probably slipping. You can take the rubber stopper out of the adjustment holes and shoot...

RE: savage really pull a wheelie

The stock tires have excellent grip and I can always wheelie with them but then again I've got a mach 26 too. My s25 would wheelie with 25% fuel but wouldn't with 20% unless I was on the grass.

RE: Nitro Star 25 - not impressed

The s25 seems to be a finicky lot. The one I had in my truck was plenty powerful but the one in my sons truck was less powerful. I ended up replacing mine with a mach 26 and couldn't be happier. ...
