RE: Getting out wrinkles

yes, you can use a standard iron, but if it shrinks (which it will likely do), some of the colored glue may get onto your clothes iron, leaving your mom/wife very angry when she goes to iron...

RE: Flying on 72 or 2.4 ?

Do you plan on being out of work forever? Don't get me wrong, I am very empathetic of your situation, and am sorry the economy has you down. No one is saying the sky is falling and you ahve to do it...

RE: G20 Engine

absolutely do not put metal on the firewall. Especially if you are using 2.4 ghz. If the plane is flying straight at you, and your signal is trying to go through the firewall to the receiver, you...

RE: Charging 6V Rx batteries

That's because 16 hours isn't enough time on the wall wart. 16 hours is what you would leave it on for if it were a 4 cell, 700-1000 mah battery. anything larger, either in number of cells or mah...

RE: Charging 6V Rx batteries

As stAted already, it will work just fine. And it's working as designed....to charge batteries. You will have no problems with it.

RE: fuel burn rate/tank size for DA 50

Actually, the ounces on our tanks are volume ounces, not weight ounces, so 4 ounces in volume of gasoline will weigh different than 4 ounces in weight. It will actually weigh more like 3 ounces,...

RE: Flaperon help needed!

Sorry,
I meant to say flaperons induce tip stall. Don't know why I put spoilerons. You are right about the wash-out. To further this discussion just a bit (for the OP of course, I know most of...

RE: Flaperon help needed!

If you have a high pitch prop, that could likely be your problem.
also, you could mix in some spoilerons if you want (upward deflection). This acts to kill the lift. It won't really slow the...

RE: Top Flite At-6 texan arf opinions?

Oh, well then the TF Gold P51 would probably be a bit harrier than the sport Scale ARF's out there.
Also, I'm not sure what exactly the TF ARF Texan is. Is it their Gold kit that they have built? ...

RE: Top Flite At-6 texan arf opinions?

That depends. What P51 are you going to fly? Is it a scale, or sport scale (like the Hanger 9 series). If it is sport scale, it will fly much like any other typical low wing sport plane. If is...

RE: Dual elevator servos on Spektrum...help!

Yes, but with that radio I'm sure you can slave any two channels. I have the same radio at home. I do not, however, have the setup you are referring to, so I've not tried this, but can you not...

RE: How Many Channels

Actually, Spektrum does make radios with more than 7 channels, they just put JR on them, or JR makes radios with less than 8, they put Spektrum on them, any way you want to look at it.
Here's how I...

RE: The wind is your friend... sometimes.

What this an ARF? Sounds like maybe the thing wasn't glued together very well to begin with. So in this case, the wind may have actually done you a favor by showing you some weaknesses in...

RE: Spektrum DX7 Owners

If the RX battery went dead (or bad) during flight, then how would the rx go into any kind of safe mode? Safe mode only works if the RX still has power. Otherwise, no power/signal is sent to any...

RE: Tips on mounting Saito 125 inverted

You don't need onboard glow if you set it up right. Onboard glow is a crutch. The only reason to use onboard glow is to aid in starting the engine, not to keep it running. You will need some sort...

RE: Quick ?

R600 is discontinued. It was in the same line as the R700, they are basic 6 and 7 channel rx.
Either one of those rx will work, but the R600 is used (no doubt) so make sure you check it out...

RE: New OS 110 Alpha

The price is now 20 dollars higher than the YS 110. No way is the OS 120 more powerful than the YS 110, and it costs 20 bucks more...

RE: did I ruin it?

Your JR radio should turn itself off before ruining the battery. It has a low voltage cut-off at around 8.3 volts, so there is no way you ruined your battery just by leaving the radio on. I'm not...

RE: Gas engine for 1/4 scale clipped wing Cub

Zenoah = flying brick. They were once top of the line. In fact, I have a g-23 that I love. Very reliable, good running engine, but they are heavy, heavy, heavy. Do yourself a favor and go with...

RE: YS engine suggestion please

The sport will turn a 16X10, 17X8, or 18X6 all at about 9000 plus RPMs. Don't know what you're getting out of your OS, but those are the numbers too compare by. If it's speed you want, get the 140...

RE: Prop questions and other ?s

If you go to a 3 blade, or even a 4 blade prop, you will have to reduce the diameter of the prop by one inch for each additional blade. So if you were originally going to swing a two blade 15 inch...

RE: OS 46AX advice

as if there wasn't already a consensus....75 bucks plus S/H is rediculous for an engine that (in it's entirety) brand new costs 130 bucks. If you like the engine so much (I love mine) then buy a new...

RE: Weird Saito 82a behavior.... 4-Stroke gurus, Help please.

14X8 is the prop for the saito 1.00, NOT the .82. A 13X7 is probably right, or 12X8 if you want more pitch. Lean the low end, that is the key to the saito's. they come sloppy rich on the low side,...

RE: Automatic leveling systems?

You're moving from the TF P-51 to the Pulse XT? Those are your 1st, and 2nd planes?
Sounds like a plan.
