All I do is go to a shop that sells commincations equipment ask for some coaxial cable with braided shielding inside it.
You will have to strip the outer layer of covering off the cable...

I also shield the spark plug lead and don't point you aerial straight at the plane when landing if not useing 2.4.

Just another thing is if your carb is a WT 526 that seems rather small for a Ryobi it only has a 7.94 venturi I would go for 11.1mm venturi. Normal carb size for a Ryobi is around 9mm.

Correct the one under the diaphram it will wear a hollow in your metering lever so it might need adjusting.

I think you got inlet needle valve problems it might have a bit of dirt or is sticking carb needs a clean out.
It is normal for carb to spit a bit out the back when running.

You answerd your own question spaceworm. It is not a good idea to try to shut down gassers using trim because sometimes they just don't shut down and all you are doing is putting stress on your servo...

My throttle set up is different then yours where my servo pushes against the spring to open the throttle which puts the control rod into compression against the spring and will flex the control rod...

May I ask how you open your throttle you push against the spring right you can't have it both ways.
How about 4 stroke nitro planes plenty of endurance in them out of a tank full.
