I was looking at some of the info about the Futaba 14MZ radio, and one feature it mentioned is "Real-Time Response…response so good, it feels like it’s happening in real time!"

I am still...

RE: Getting shot down

I was reading an article the other day, which does a fair job of describing the possible interferences between two transmitters and a single-conversion receiver. In the example given, the...

RE: Tower Pro receiver compatible with anyone?

I called Tower Hobbies, and they said that they aren't connected with Tower Pro.

I've (hopefully!) attached a picture of the unit, in case it helps.

And, just in case, here are the specs...

Tower Pro receiver compatible with anyone?

I picked up a receiver made by "Tower Pro"

The ad said "FM 72Mhz 6 Channel Micro Receiver Futaba JR GWS Sanwa "

RE: Did I waste my money on a Buddy Box?

Nebbie,

Thanks for your kind words.

My hope is that with FMS and the buddy box I can learn patience, restraint, and control.

I know that beginners, myself included, will have a...

RE: What's the best TX frequency for microflight?

I just looked at the hitec catalog, from online.

On the front page, for the Laser 4 they mention that the "Aircraft System" includes a Supreme 8-channel, dual conversion, 75MHz receiver.

I...

RE: Did I waste my money on a Buddy Box?

Again, many thanks.

I got mail from Futaba Service, which says "It sounds like you purchased the 'buddy box' unit."

What I did not understand was what a buddy box was. I expected it to be...

What's the best TX frequency for microflight?

I'm looking at purchasing my first radio for actual flight. Maybe used, maybe new.

I've done lots of looking at micro receivers on the web, and I'm certain that I found some receivers that are...

RE: Did I waste my money on a Buddy Box?

I'm pretty sure it's a radio. Wouldn't a Buddy Box be marked in someway? I'm thinking that it might be missing the antenna, for example.

Rigging a 9V supply shouldn't be any problem at all. ...

RE: Did I waste my money on a Buddy Box?

First of all, thanks for the insights.

Yes, it's a real radio- Futaba Skysport T4YF FM, with a trainer switch.

It looks like what I need is an adapter to power the radio while flying with...

Did I waste my money on a Buddy Box?

I decided to start cheaply, with the FMS simulator and a radio.

I bought a Futaba 4YF radio, knowing that it had no crystal, but it also came without battery or charger! I've got the "buddy...

How do you know if an ESC is appropriate for LiPo?

Yep, I'm new. I looked through the "we're working on a FAQ but we don't have one yet" thread, and I didn't see an answer to this one.

I'm going to assume that all ESCs on the market work for...

RE: Entry-level quality, small investment simulator?

After doing some reading on this forum, I think the best idea is to just write my own simulator this weekend.

:) I really just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your help. I tried FMS...

Put offer ID in automated E-mail?

When I look at the Offer History for an item, there's an ID associated with each offer.

It would be nice if the automated mail "You just made an offer..."
included the ID for reference.

Entry-level quality, small investment simulator?

I'm very new, just trying out R/C flying.

I'd like to get a simulator to do some learning, and I'd like the following:

1. Use (preferably) a real transmitter that I'll buy, or a simulated...
