new 2.4 ghz 7c problem

I am wondering if there is a fix to the zero id problem on 7c radios. I just purchased a 7c a month ago and read about other people having their radios loose their id. With these reports were...

RE: Storage charge for long term?

A123-

I take it from your lack of responce that you are uncertain as to the effects of the storage temperature on these cells. I am going to treat them as other lithium cells and go with cold...

RE: Storage charge for long time?

Ok, so if I am reading your post correctly -- six months months or less- just let them be and they will be fine, longer than six months it would be better to store them at 3.3v per cell.

Any...

RE: DeWalt has 36 volt problems in Home Depot ???

I heard it was for the cost. Home Depot thinks the 36v line is kind of pricey and may not sell as well. Also there was something about dewalt having a recall on the circular saw, there was a blade...

RE: Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 size

I would have to agree with Sean ( ifixairplanes ), this is a fairly tame plane on landings. I have even had a few dead sticks and floated in without a problem. Be mindful of your elevator usage and...

RE: Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 size

Well I have converted the 580 to electric. I have not had it the air yet though. I had a radio problem with my first 580 and she went in hard. I really only needed a new wing, the fuse made it...

RE: matt chapman cap 580 conversion

I used the mounting hardware that comes with the power 60 motor. It's just a radial mount and I added some nylon spacers to bring it off the firewall the distance required in the instruction manual....

RE: matt chapman cap 580 conversion

I decided on the e-flight power 60 and cc 80 controller. It may be a while before I can get in the air, but I will let you know how it goes.

RE: Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 size

I have wondered how it would do with a 46 on it too. They had to have flown it with one if that's what they recommend for it, but I tend to lean toward the "more is better" end of things. :D

RE: Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 size

I use standard futaba 3004 servos with a 6 volt receiver pack. The 6 volts gives you the recommended torque out of the servos. I ran with the stock tank and it did ok, just did not give me nice long...

RE: Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 size

I will let you know if I decide to try it. I hear what you are saying about the cost. I already have a couple of 6s lipo packs I use in my logo 10 helicopter. That's what got me thinking of it in...

matt chapman cap 580 conversion

I am thinking of converting the 46 size cap 580. Anyone done one yet?

I would be looking to use 6s lipos that I already own, any motor recommendations?

RE: Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 size

Hello all. I have not been keeping up with this thread like I should. Some of you may remember I put a saito 82 on the front of mine last winter and had a blast flying it this summer. But as fate...

RE: XFC "Extreme Flying Championship" Coverage

RE: Taking a RC Heli on a Airplane

Man, the way they toss luggage around and cram it in places, I don't think I would try it. You could always call the airlines to see if it's even a possibility.

RE: Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 size

I have mixed feelings on the nylon bolts for holding the wing on. I like the idea of them snapping and not causing as much damage in a crash, but I also witnessed them snapping in mid flight for no...

RE: Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 size

Plastic screws, thats not a bad idea. I think my problem originated at the factory with a light glue job, but I fixed that now and it's back in action. I might try the nylon screws though, just so...

RE: Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 size

I used a thin bead of clear silicone caulk for the canopy and then added 4 screws toward the corners. The caulk keeps it from grabbing air and holds it down good, also it's not to bad if you ever...

RE: Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 size

Well, the winter weather, at long last, has given in a little and I finally got my maiden in. What a nice flying plane! The saito 82 has great power for this plane and man is it fast. It did...

RE: OMP Edge Mess....But not for Long

It glides across the snow real nice. You don't want to get into too deep of snow unless it's packed good, otherwise the tail wire wants to sink and the rudder sinks in then. It tracks great though.
