Reversing Polarity on a spin start?

My HPI rotostart broke, I think the switch is toast. I have my old spin start from the Mach 26, how can I modify it and get the motor to turn in an opposite direction?

Thanks.

RE: Is the inside of my new engine suppossed to look like this?

I just saw a thread you started a while back and PM'ed you about it.

I hope they fix it, and would be really PO'ed if they claim I voided any warranty. After reading your thread, and other...

RE: Is the inside of my new engine suppossed to look like this?

I looked at the main bearings without taking the crank out, they all appear to be there.

Some crud? What like a pebble that melted onto the case? That first picture of the bump is not from...

RE: Is the inside of my new engine suppossed to look like this?

Well I found out what caused this damage. It appears there are 3 nubs that stick out of the groove the conrod slides around. One is definate, the others might be shaving that melted as they don't...

RE: Is the inside of my new engine suppossed to look like this?

Compression is good, right now. It's like the conrod is torqued as no forign object would cause a groove on the inside of the case like that. Not to mention the knicks at the base.

It does run...

RE: Is the inside of my new engine suppossed to look like this?

I know, and I am friggen mad.

Should I contact Team Associated? How could this have happened, what would cause the grove in the case other than a defect of sorts? I don't know anything that...

Is the inside of my new engine suppossed to look like this?

I bought this LRP Spec 3 a quart and a half ago. The backplate for the roto-start finally arrived so I took it apart to install it. I noticed the conrod looked strange, upon closer inspection it's...

RE: Backplate question on a LRP Spec 3

pity bump ;)

So I broke it in today, heat cycle method about 6 times. She runs great and strong.

The backplate screws are tightened to resistance, no locktite, and so far no airleaks. I am...

RE: Backplate question on a LRP Spec 3

I will use locktite then, no problem.

Still looking to hear someone say, oh that's normal on that engine or other engines. Seems strange I cant tighten them all the way, wondering if it's...

RE: Backplate question on a LRP Spec 3

I did tighten them with the star technique but I am not going to use locktight on these screws. I heard somewhere it's either not good or the heat of the engine makes it not work so well. Either way...

Backplate question on a LRP Spec 3

So I just got this mill, took the backplate off while washing out any metal fragments before I fire it up this weekend. If I tighten the screws to the backplate all the way then the piston gets tight...

RE: Nitro Engine Care And Breaking In/Starting Instructions

Well I have just finished reading this entire thread and learned quite a bit of information. A buddy of mine bought a Fantom and used the heat cycle method and now swears by it, he has broken in a...

RE: 2-Speed Slipper Thrust Bearing question

Nevermind, I just called an online retailer. The thrust bearing is included just not pictured for whatever reason.

2-Speed Slipper Thrust Bearing question

I need to replace a small washer, the one that has bearings in it, located on the outer output shaft. When I look up the part #B3455 none of the online images shows this particular washer. I double...

RE: Getting the Spec 3, tell me what else I need

Cool, yeah I have the original LST pipe. Seems everyone who carries this engine has it on back order until mid March though.

RE: Getting the Spec 3, tell me what else I need

Thanks. Stock being the Mach 26 pipe and header? I have the original LST. Any problems with the backplate? I still find it odd that it's plastic.

Getting the Spec 3, tell me what else I need

My LST has been sitting idle for a few months, never had much luck with the Collari .32. I always had a problem with the exhaust header not fitting properly therefore it never ran well for extended...

LST2 A Arms compatible with a LST1?

I see the A arms have been changed on the LST2. Just wondering if they will fit my LST1, are the hub carriers or anything else different that would prevent them from fitting on my original LST.

RE: Help with washers for Proline Wheel Hexes

Thanks, I took a dremel stone and opened each washer just a little to fit. Kinda weird, they seemed to be the same exact diameter as the axle itself, just a little grinding and they now fit....
